A combination of GPS and the latest data technology (GPRS) provides an accurate, cost effective, web based tracking solution. The solution is simple to install and provides greater accuracy than a GSM based solution. In conjunction with a GPS device that contains a GPRS SIM HST can provide a solution which provides detailed, archived updates and snail trails. This provides valuable information to a company in not only tracking vehicles but to archive total mileage (for expenses) and to track routes taken by a specific driver within a certain period. It can also provide proof that drivers are not working too long hours in line with recent European legislation. Vehicles can be tracked with the installation of a GPS "black box" in a vehicle or tracking a person accurately by receiving updates from a device that supports both GPS and GPRS, such as a HP 6515 handheld computer.
£10 per month cost from Justfone for hosting and maintenance. The user's additional costs here would be the cost of the GPRS SIM contained in the GT47. This cost would be say £5 per month from a network with say an additional £5 worth of GPRS Data. Therefore the total cost per user per month for updates all day every day would be £15 per month. Compare this to other constantly uoted tracking systems that would cost a minimum of £5 per month per user
Set up fee @ £95. Ongoing costs are made by direct debit. The monthly cost will depend on whether the user chooses Cellsite ID or GPS/GPRS.
