eDefender

Loneworker Panic Button Solution from Argyll.

An eDefender registered handset is configured with a single button for panic situations. On pressing the button a two-way voice connection is activated to the control room, from where the individual can be located using GPS and assistance can be summoned.

This provides a 'locate on panic' service. Essentially this means that if a worker finds himself or herself in a difficult situation, they press a 'panic-button' or 'hot key' on their mobile phone.

This opens a 2-way, digitally recorded voice link to Argyll Telecom's control room placing them in direct contact with their operators who then carry out a simultaneous 'location find' based upon a choice of location service.

The customer can choose between Mobile Network location or GPS location, or a combination of both. They will be provided with a username and password which provides access to an interactive Web service called 'Seeker Lite'.

This contains location-monitoring functionality. Any location requests carried out by the customer or by Argyll Telecom's operators are stored and are made available via this account.
